We are trucking along, and Owen is now eight months old! This month flew by for me, granted, I feel like I say that every month. It's not a lie that time flies. Some days seem to last forever, but when you look back you can't believe that a week has passed, or a month, or a year!

No appointment this month, but he is a growing boy, and fitting nicely into 12 month clothing now. He's been a great eater, eating three meals a day, and nursing four to five times. We'll start trying some finger foods this month. He went through a food strike about a week ago that lasted a few days, but he's back to normal. I'm not sure if it was his teeth, but a few weeks ago his bottom two teeth started coming through. He was a a cranky little man, but thankfully his sleeping wasn't affected too much. He did get sick for the first time this month, and it was strep throat. He woke up in the middle of the night very unsettled and with a high fever. I took him to the doctor that morning, and with some medicine and lots of extra cuddles, he was feeling much better by the next day. Thankfully, nobody else caught it.

As for sleeping, he is still on his two naps a day and sleeping through the night. He is an early riser though, and will wake up ready for the day as early as 5:45 some days. Waking up at 6:30 is considered sleeping late! I've tried everything to get him back to sleep, or push it back but nothing has worked. So for now we wake up early, and I'm sure eventually he will start sleeping a bit later.
Owen loves standing, and is working on pulling up. He's done it by himself several times now. As for crawling, he is doing a lot of rocking back and forth on all four's but it's just not clicking to move those legs. Poor thing gets so frustrated because he wants to move and keep up with big sister so badly. All in due time little man.

| I did it! |
He started picking up a lot this past month and when you ask him, he can shake his toys, high five, splash, wave (sometimes), kiss and hug. He loves blowing raspberries too, and when you get him started he thinks it's so funny. He has such a go with the flow attitude, and is so flexible. He is a cuddle bug too. I think my favorite time of the day with him is cuddling with him at night before he falls asleep. These moments go by fast, so I have to soak them all in while I can!
